Love this! As a guy who reads and writes romance-- its the hope that has me turning pages. Love is easy. Respect, not settling because 'its time ', being open with each other, that's the hard part. And that's what romance novels can teach us all.

Love how you debunk some common misconceptions about romance. I am going to defend the romance genre to death. I just love this genre and I have written about why it is always treated the lowest💕

Many, many years ago I was the night manager of a Walden book store. Every now and then we would have men come in and ask us to recommend a romance book to them. When we questioned them the answers usually went along these lines, my wife/ fiance reads them all the time and I want to understand what she is reading, My wife/ fiance said she wished I was more romantic like the hero of such and such book, my wife/ girl friend really likes what the hero does to the heroine in a certain book and wants me to do it to her, my wife / girl friend suggested I read a certain author to put more spice in our marriage/ relationship. We also had regular gay men that bought historical romances for well the romance-and as they told us ladies, they were titillating. - Romance books were and our some of the biggest sellers
